PUTNAM COUNTY — What is God saying to our country right now? What is His heart for this nation? What is His call for this nation? One Nation under God… Unity: This is the heart of God for America.

Dr. Ronnie Floyd, President of the National Day of Prayer, named the theme of the 2018 observance, “Pray for America – Unity,” based upon Ephesians 4:3, which challenges believers to mobilize unified public prayer for America, “Making every effort to keep the unity of the Spirit through the bond of peace.” He urged believers across the nation to do everything they can to call people in the U.S. to unite in public prayer. The National Day of Prayer was signed into law in 1952 and every president since then has signed a National Day of Prayer Proclamation.

The public is invited and welcomed to come, join friends and neighbors to pray at the Putnam County Courthouse on Ottawa’s Main Street on Thursday, May 3, from noon to 1 p.m.
