Michael G. Luebrecht, 49, Allen Correctional, has a trial scheduled for 9 a.m. Sept. 11 with three days allotted. Another pre-trial is scheduled for Aug. 4. Luebrecht was convicted of aggravated murder in the drowning death of his 13-month-old son, Joel, in the bathtub at his Fort Jennings home on May 23, 2005. He was sentenced to life in prison with parole after 25 years on March 3, 2006 by Putnam County Common Pleas Judge Randall Basinger. Luebrecht’s attorney asked the court to allow Luebrecht to withdraw his guilty plea arguing the cocktail of medications he was taking for mental health issues contributed to the crime. The motion to withdraw the guilty plea was granted May 5.

July 3

Cheryl A. Lewis-Elliott, 46, Cloverdale, pleaded guilty to theft of a debit card and theft from an elderly. She faces up 30 months in prison and $7,500 in fines. Bond was continued while a pre-sentence investigation is conducted with sentencing set for 10 a.m. Aug. 11.

Michelle Escobedo, Ottawa, and Gamaliel Escobedo, Leipsic, were granted a dissolution of marriage. They were married April 4, 2007 in Ottawa, and have three children.

Emily Duling, Ottawa, and Francis L. Duling, Ottawa, were granted a dissolution of marriage. They were married August 10, 2013 in Ottawa, and have no children.

Tax Ease Ohio LLC, Dallas, Texas, was granted a foreclosure judgment against Linda K. Burkhart, Pandora, in the amounts of $2,409.93 and $1,166.34, plus interest and costs.
