OTTAWA — Once more, New Creation Lutheran Church, Ottawa, hosted the “Community Easter Egg Hunt” for children, ages two to 17, on Saturday, April 19. There were prizes for all and special drawing giveaways of a number of new bicycles for the kids and some Easter Baskets for adults.
In keeping with the New Creation purpose of “Bringing Christ to Broken People and a Broken World,” all Community Easter Egg Hunt guests were asked to bring canned food items that will be collected and delivered to the Ottawa Food Pantry for eventual distribution to needy families and individuals within our communities.
The morning’s faith, fun and festivities included Easter egg hunts based on age groups, optional photo gifts in front of the “Empty Tomb,” special Easter video messages for both kids and adults and the giving away of the raffle prizes of bikes and Easter Baskets.
