KALIDA — A group from St. Michael's Catholic Church, Kalida, recently traveled to Louisa, Kentucky, for a week of work, worship and fellowship.
The team's first task was putting a steel roof on a cinderblock house.
“While most don't have nice neat homes, the latest clothing or fine automobiles: what they have have far outweighs any earthly possessions,” said volunteer Jackie Schroeder. “They have God at the very center of their lives.”
Team members went to various job sites to provide volunteer labor.
The group also attended a gospel singing at the local thrift store.
