OTTAWA - Ottawa-Glandorf Band Boosters held their 20th annual "Parade of Bands" marching band competition on Saturday, Sept. 21, at Titan Stadium. Eight bands from throughout the state of Ohio competed in the Ohio Music Education Association-sanctioned event, including two from Putnam County.

The Kalida High School Wildcat Marching Band, under the direction of Lori Klausing and Mary Glick, presented "Shave and a Haircut." Their show repertoire included: "Shave and Haircut Fanfare," "The Barber of Seville," "I Dream of Jeanie (with the Light Brown Hair)," and "Hair." Wildcat Field Commanders are Meredith Kromer and Elizabeth Turnwald.

The Ottawa-Glandorf High School "Titan" Marching Band, under the direction of Brent Deskins and Kristen Gerding-Heffner, presented "Elton John Salute." Their show repertoire included: "Funeral for a Friend," "Can You Feel the Love Tonight," "Love Lies Bleeding," "Your Song," and "Saturday Night's Alright (for Fighting.)" Both bands received an "excellent" rating.
