PANDORA-A little rain never hurt anyone. Even a lot of rain won't if you have a roof over your head and good company. Competitors and attendees at the Four Deuces Car Club "Cruise-in-the-Park" in Pandora showed off 94 historic four wheels despite a wet forecast on Thursday,
The show is an annual Independence Day event and has been for over ten years, except for one miss in 2012. Last year potential participants arrived at the Pandora village park to find crews at work cleaning up after the June 29 derecho. But the drivers did try, such is the strength of America's love affair with the automobile.
The Four Deuces Car Club is located on State Route 15 north of Ottawa. However, the club attracts members from several Ohio counties. Pandora's Marge Collmar is its vice president. She collects trophy sponsorships for this show and another cruise-in in Fort Jennings.
This year, that amounted to awards for the top 25 cars plus six specialty honors. The July 4 show benefits Pandora Community youth
baseball. This year the club also donated one dollar for every car to the Hilty Memorial Home lift fund.
