PUTNAM COUNTY - The Putnam County YMCA strives to effect lasting change by partnering with communities and offering programs that support and empower the people in them to learn, grow, and thrive. Each year, countless donors generously contribute their resources so the Putnam County YMCA can continue bringing programs to individuals and families in the county and surrounding communities. When it comes to giving back to the community, The Union Bank Company, Fort Jennings State Bank, First Federal Bank and First National Bank are no exception. These four local community banks recently pledged over $45,000.00 to the YMCA's Legacy Campaign and share a long history of support for the YMCA's mission.

"As local community bankers, we realize how interdependent the welfare of our neighbors and friends is to being part of a thriving community. As such, it is a privilege for me to be associated with these community bankers who understand their responsibility to support local organizations and programs that make a difference for all of us," said Brian D. Young, President and CEO of The Union Bank Company and YMCA Board Member. "Although the direct impact of our investments in the YMCA may not be measured in financial terms, I believe the impact on the lives of those who benefit from the YMCA services provides a significant return on our investments. I strongly encourage other businesses and individuals to consider supporting the Putnam County YMCA through a contribution to the Legacy Campaign."

"It is exciting to see these active community banks play such a major role in our $1,000,000 Legacy Campaign," commented Lori Fetherolf, Putnam County YMCA Executive Director. "Our YMCA Board and staff are appreciative of their ongoing support and we believe many families will benefit from their thoughtfulness. It is the long tradition of residents supporting local businesses, including these banks, that allows them in turn to enable a variety of organizations and agencies to effectively serve the communities within Putnam County."
