OTTAWA - Putnam County Commissioners met on Tuesday morning at 10 a.m. for their regular agenda meeting. One item on their agenda was the approval of addendum work that had to be done on the Kenneth Niese Ditch.

The Putnam County Engineer, Terry Recker has informed the commissioners that addendum work had to be done on the Kenneth Niese Ditch for extra tile repair. The addendum work totaled to $20,515.70 bringing the total contract price to $329,529.70.

Another item on the agenda was the approval of the amendment to the contract among the commissioners, the village of Miller City and the village of Ottawa. The amendment will be changed to "any future taps on the water transmission line will be charged $1,000 to offset the cost of the tap to Ottawa." "This will be a flat rate opposed to what it used to be,"stated Commissioner John Love.

The Putnam County Commissioners will meet again on Thursday, Dec. 6 at 10 a.m. in the court house.
