Commissioners approved permit with Ohio Power for southern Rd. 5 construction

OTTAWA - On Thursday morning at their 10 a.m. agenda meeting, the Putnam County Commissioners approved the right of way entry agreement on Rd. 5. This agreement allows the right to enter upon, over and across property along U.S. 224 and Rd. 5.
The agreement was signed with Ohio Power allowing them to begin their work on the southern portion of Rd. 5. The agreement gives the commissioners, its employees, contractors and agents the right to begin work on properties.Another item approved was the Putnam Soil and Water improvement project. On Oct. 7, 2010 the project was approved for Putnam Soil and Water Conservation to accept a request for assistance on Aug. 24 2010 for the William Foulkes tile drainage improvement. The second information meeting to present the proposed project to the benefiting landowners was held on Nov. 14.
