Ottawa -- David Louis Llewellyn, 64 of Ottawa died 2:33 a.m. Tuesday, October 8, 2013 at St. Rita's Medical Center, Lima. He was born March 13, 1949 in Defiance to the late Albert A. "Abbie" and Louise (Verhoff) Llewellyn.
He is survived by 6 children: Danny Llewellyn and Jimmy Llewellyn both of Florida, Carmen (Jimmy) Boese of Lima, Carole (Todd) Jones of Elida, Sam Dawson and Darren Dawson both of Florida; 8 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; a brother: Jerry (Linda) Llewellyn of Glandorf; 2 sisters: Nancy (Paul) Deckman of Tuckerton, NJ., and Marcia Reed of Ottawa; 6 nephews; and a niece. He was also preceded in death by a son: David Henige.
David worked for High End Woodworking in Florida. He was a former member of St. Isidore Catholic Church, Cuba and a Vietnam Air Force Veteran. He was good at woodworking, very good with cars, and a caring and loving husband. David was an awesome son, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend.
A Memorial Service will be 7:00 p.m. Thursday, October 10, 2013 at LOVE FUNERAL HOME, Ottawa with Fr. Tony Fortman officiating. Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. until the time of service Thursday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Llewellyn family.
