FORT JENNINGS - The National Weather Service in Northern Indiana has issued a flood warning for the Auglaize River near Fort Jennings through Tuesday.
At 11 a.m. this morning the river was at 11.3 feet and rising according to the weather service. Flood state is 13 feet. They expect the river to reach this level Sunday morning due to the melting snow and rain that is expected to fall Saturday evening.
The weather service expects the water level to reach 15.3 feet on Monday before cresting late Monday evening.
Flood waters could close roads that run along the Auglaize River and could threaten homes that are close to the river.
The Weather Service reminds drivers to not attempt to drve through water over roadways as you never know how deep it may be.
