Prosecutors request teen be tried as an adult

OTTAWA - The third teen in the Amber Alert who directed authorities to the bodies of Blake and Blaine Romes has been charged with double homicide, according to a press release from the Putnam County Prosecuting Attorney Office.
The release stated that the Prosecuting Attorney has filed a two count complaint in the Putnam County Juvenile Court against the juvenile alleging delinquency for committing the crime of Aggravated Murder of the Romes brothers.
Additionally, a Motion to Transfer has been filed requesting the Putnam County Juvenile Court transfer jurisdiction of the case to the Putnam County Common Pleas Court so the juvenile can be tried as an adult.
According to Putnam County Prosecuting Attorney Gary L. Lammers, one of the brothers had been strangled and each brother had been shot once.
No hearing has been scheduled at this time.
