Lammers elected president of Ohio Clerk of Courts

PUTNAM COUNTY - Putnam County Clerk of Courts, Teresa Lammers, has been elected as president of the Ohio Clerk of Courts Association. She took the oath of office as President at the association's winter conference on Dec. 5, 2013, in Columbus.The Ohio Clerk of Courts Association strives to encourage a spirit of cooperation between the 88 Ohio Clerks of Courts. The association promotes a better understanding of the varied duties of the clerk as the keeper of the records and as public officials through ongoing education programs. The association works to encourage the enactment of laws which will improve court service throughout the state of Ohio as well as improve business procedures and facilities to better serve the public. As President, Lammers will preside over monthly meetings of the organization as well as summer and winter conferences during 2014.
Clerks of Courts are the keeper of the records of Ohio courts and provide issuance and retention of all vehicle titles of ownership. Lammers has served as Clerk of the Putnam County Common Pleas Court, the Municipal Court and the Vehicle Title Department since becoming clerk in 2003. Prior to that time she worked in the offices as deputy clerk for 16 years. She has been active in the Clerk of Courts Association since becoming clerk, serving on various committees as chairperson and acting in vice president rolls.
Teresa and her husband, Daryl, live in the New Cleveland community. They are the proud parents and grandparents of five children and eight grandchildren.
