LEIPSIC - Leipsic Council met Monday, Dec. 3 for their first meeting of the month. Council heard the first reading on a wage increase for the village employees. The legislation was presented that a 1.5 percent wage increase would be granted to all village employees and would take effect in the first pay period in January.
The final reading for the zoning change for the property located at 244 Eastom St. was read and adopted by council. The old IGA building will now be zones as a church facility.
The third and final reading was held to reelect Larry Place to represent the Village of Leipsic as the Port Authority. The vote for Place was unanimous.
On Kevin Lammon's items for information, council has requested a meeting with the Auditor of State's Office for a work session on Wednesday, Dec. 12 at 6 p.m. in the Village Hall.
The next council meeting will be held on Monday, Dec. 17 at 7:30 p.m.
