NORTH CREEK - A North Creek family was left homeless Wednesday evening after their mobile home was destroyed by strong winds as a line of severe thunderstorms approached the area.
Pictured are the remains of a mobile home near North Creek that was destroyed by strong winds Wednesday night.
The mobile home belonged to Jeremy Nienberg and Darla Seeger. They were home when the storm hit along with two children and a grandparent. Seeger had to be freed from the wreckage by fire department personnel. Two of the residents of the mobile were transported to a local hospital by EMS and all five residents were treated for various injuries. None of the victims were hospitalized for any serious injuries.
Friends and neighbors spent Thursday helping the family cleanup and gather personal items. The American Red Cross is providing the family residence at a Defiance area hotel for a couple of days.
