OTTAWA - The Ottawa Lions Club will hold its annual White Cane Day and Food Drive on Saturday, March 30, from 9 a.m. until 2 p.m. at Kohls Market in Ottawa, as well as at Ottawa Walmart.
The purpose of White Cane Day is to increase awareness of the use of the white cane and the laws that govern its use, as well as to remind people that motor vehicles and pedestrians should yield the right of way to blind or visually impaired people using canes. The Lions will collect monetary donations, which will be used to support the club's sight projects.

The Lions will also collect non-perishable food items to donate to the Ottawa Food Pantry
