Putnam Co. Office of Public Safety to conduct exercise

OTTAWA - The Putnam County Office of Public Safety will be conducting a full-scale exercise at the Putnam County Agricultural Complex, 1206 E. Second St., Ottawa on June 12 at 5 p.m.
The primary focus of the exercise is the response to an incident where hazardous materials are involved. It will meet state requirements for the L.E.P.C.'s (Local Emergency Planning Committee) yearly mandate. Additionally, we are required to open the Emergency Operation Center (EOC) to test activation and control methods.
Participating Putnam County Agencies and Departments may notify your organization. Please notify the appropriate personnel within your organization for they may receive a call during this exercise.
Participating agencies and departments: American Red Cross, Glandorf Fire Department, Haz Mat Team, Ottawa Division of Fire, Ottawa Police Department, Putnam County Dispatch, Putnam County Sheriff's Office, Putnam County EMA, Putnam County EMS, Putnam County LEPC/EMA Board, St. Rita's Medical Center and Putnam County Ambulatory Care Center.
Again, this is only an exercise.
