OTTAWA - Meeting in a special session, the Putnam County Grand Jury returned 27 indictments on August 20.

Out of the 27 people indicted, 24 of them were charged with trafficking in illegal drugs. The indictments were handed down as a result of an on-going investigation into the sale and possession of illegal drugs by the Putnam County Sheriff's Department and the mulit-area task force.

Altogether, there were 34 counts of trafficking in heroin, 11 counts of trafficking in cocaine, six counts of trafficking in marijuana, three counts of trafficking in Oxycontin, two counts of trafficking in ecstasy and one count of trafficking crack/cocaine.

Thise indicted were:

Frank D. Winfrey of Flint, Michigan, 73 was charged with four counts of trafficking drugs and four counts of permitting drug abuse, a fifth degree felony.

Lesley E. Hernandez of Leipsic, 34, was indicted for four counts of trafficking in heroin.

Kevin McArthur of North Baltimore, 44, was charged with three counts of trafficking in heroin and two counts of permitting drug abuse, a fifth degree felony.

Heather M. Cortez, 29, Deshler, was indicted for three counts of trafficking one to five grams of heroine, a third degree felony, and two counts of trafficking less than five grams of cocaine, a fourth degree felony.

Traylie L. Pardo of Bluffton, 28, was charged with four counts of trafficking heroin, cocaine, and crack/cocaine at Walmart and Arby's between Jan. 27 and Feb. 2.

Joshua A. Mangas, 28, Cloverdale, was indicted for four counts of trafficking heroin in the parking lots of McDonald's in Ottawa and Stinky's in Gilboa between Feb. 25 and March 9.

Richard E. Piotrowski of Sylvania, 21, was charged with two counts of trafficking heroin in the Gilboa Park on Franklin St. and two counts of permitting drug abuse, a fifth degree felony.

Dale Ann Riley, 31, McComb, was indicted for two counts of trafficking in heroin and one count of permitting drug abuse.

Mallory S. Young of Toledo, 24, was charged with three counts of trafficking in heroin at Walmart between Feb. 7 and 11 in Ottawa.

Joseph Michel, 27, Columbus, was indicted for three counts of trafficking in heroin in the parking lot of McDonald's between Feb. 25 and March 4. He allegedly sold within 100 feet of a juvenile.

Joshua J. Perry of Bluffton, 31, was charged with two counts of trafficking in ecstasy and one count of trafficking in marijuana in the parking lot of McDonald's between April 5 and 7.

Tasha A. Wright, 25, Deshler, was indicted for three counts of trafficking in illegal drugs: marijuana, cocaine and heroin in Walmart between Jan. 3 and 8.

Eric Currier of Toledo, 35, was charged with three counts of trafficking in cocaine at Walmart between Jan. 13 and 15.

John W. Barnhart, 19, Dupont, was indicted for two counts of trafficking in illegal drugs in Gilboa Park between March 29 and April 2.

Brandon Garberson of Columbus Grove, 20, was charged with one count of trafficking in heroine.

Isaiah P. Rayle, 26, Cleveland, was indicted for two counts of trafficking in drugs in the parking lot of Speed Queen Fabrics on N. Perry St. in Ottawa between April 9 and 13.

Kelle A. Robach of Deshler, 28, was charged with two counts of trafficking in drugs between Jan. 10 and Feb. 26.

Andrew M. Coe, 22, of Columbus Grove was indicted for two counts of trafficking in heroin at Stinky's in Gilboa between March 6 and 11.

Douglas C. Calvelage of Fort Jennings, 22, was charged with one count of trafficking less than 200 grams of marijuana at his home on May 22, a fifth degree felony.

Ashley L. Dunbar, 20, Fort Jennings was indicted for one count of trafficking less than 200 grams of marijuana at her home on May 22, a fifth degree felony.

Paul Jason Dubar of Toledo, 35, was charged with one count of trafficking less than five grams of cocaine at Walmart within 1000 feet of a school on Jan. 17, a fourth degree felony.

Danielle N. Trehan, 22, Leipsic, was indicted for one count of trafficking less than five grams in the parking lot of Stinky's on June 7, a fifth degree felony.

Levi Jeffrey Troyer of Continental, 20, was charged with one count of trafficking less than 200 grams of marijuana in the parking lot of Speed Queen Fabrics on April 9, a fourth degree felony.

Victor H. Austin, 21, Leipsic, was indicted for one count of trafficking less than five grams of cocaine within 100 feet of a juvenile at his apartment in Leipsic on June 28, a fourth degree felony.

In other indictments:

Larry J. Vanatta II, 30, and Jason N. Davis, 35, both of Bluffton, were indicted for a count of felonious assault, a felony of the second degree.

Luis Ibarra, Jr. of Leipsic, 42, was charged for one count of gross sexual imposition, a felony of the third degree.
