OTTAWA - A jury of nine women and three men found Jeremy Stober returned guilty verdicts on five of the eight charges against him last night after more than five hours of deliberation.
The three charges that were dropped include tampering with evidence, gross sexual imposition and attempted sexual battery.
The five charges Stober was found guilty of are sexual battery, three counts gross sexual imposition and importuning. Stober faces up to 10 1/2 years in prison when he is sentenced on the charges he was found guilty of.
Judge Randall Basinger ordered Stober taken into custody after the verdicts were read. He will be sentenced in three weeks.
The jury started deliberations Thursday afternoon after the defense attorney completed his case in the morning and closing arguments were given.
