LEIPSIC - The Putnam County Sheriff's Office is investigating a single car accident that happened early Sunday morning east of Leispic.

According to a report issued by the Sheriff's Department, a 2003 Chevrolet Blazer was traveling westbound on St. Rt. 613, near Road 2, around 3:32 a.m., when the driver failed to negotiate a curve. The driver over corrected and the vehicle went off the road flipping several times.
A female passenger was ejected from the vehicle and another passenger was trapped inside. Three of the four occupants in the vehicle were taken to St. Rita's Medical Center in Lima, while a fourth passenger was signed off by medical personnel and not transported.
Names of the victims were not being released until identities could be confirmed.
Assisting at the scene were the Leipsic Fire Department, Leipsic EMS, Ottawa Heavy Rescue, Ottawa EMS, McComb EMS and Life Flight.
