KALIDA-The Meadows of Kalida held its seventh annual Christmas Tree Gala on Sunday, December 15. Approximately 80 trees, wreaths, and other Christmas decor were up for bid via silent auction. The items were donated by families, businesses, and civic groups. According to Activities Director Shannon Geise, the facility selects a different non-profit organization each year to be the recipient of the auction's proceeds; this year's beneficiary was the Putnam County Senior Center. The festival also featured an expansive buffet, many children's activities, and live music performances. Geise expected between 200-300 visitors to attend the event.
