OTTAWA - The site plan for Trilogy Health Services to construct their new nursing home was approved early Friday morning by the Ottawa Planning Commission.

Upon completion, the new 102 bed nursing home will absorb residents and staff from The Meadows of Ottawa-Glandorf and recently purchased Putnam Acres Care Center.

The site, which will be known as The Meadows of Ottawa, will be built on 11 acres purchased from the village and measure 73,600-square-feet.

According to vice president of development for Trilogy, the site will employ 125 to 150 staff members. Location of the new nursing home will be west of the elementary on Putnam Parkway.

The village will extend Putnam Parkway 1,300 feet west to Ohio 15 to alleviate traffic problems. The cost of the extension will come from the revenue it will receive from the 11 acre sale to Trilogy.
