UPDATE: Flood waters going down, flooded roads opeming

OTTAWA - The Blanchard River in Ottawa and the Auglaize River in Fort Jennings continue to drop after cresting late Saturday afternoon.
The latest update on the Blanchard had it at 24.16 feet, just over a foot above the 23 feet flood stage. The National Weather Service expects it to drop below flood stage Monday morning.
As the flood rivers start to return to their banks, flooded roads in the village and county are reopening. The two major roads in Ottawa, St. Rt. 224 and Rt. 65, both reopened Sunday as the water levels dropped.
The latest reading for the Auglaize River at Fort Jennings was 11.9 feet, just over the 11 foot action stage for the river. The flood warning for the Auglaize River has been dropped at this time.
