PANDORA - AEP officials are currently working on a power outage that has occurred in Pandora. According to an AEP update, a squirrel contacted a transformer inside the station which in turn caused the station circuit breaker to trip.

Initially AEP anticipated power to be restored by 2 p.m. today but later found that the squirrel did more damage than they thought. Now the expected restoration time is 5 p.m.

AEP has transferred about 185 customers to another station which restored their electrical services. The remaining customers are expected to be restored by 7 p.m.
