PUTNAM COUNTY — The United Way of Putnam County has announced the availability of funds board-allocated for emergency food programs such as food pantries and weekend supplemental meal programs for school children. Through their Fighting Hunger Program, the United Way has made available grants in the amounts of $250, $500, and $1,000.

Qualifying organizations may be awarded two grants in any 12-month period. Fighting Hunger Program funding criteria, grant application, and instructions are available at the office of the United Way of Putnam County and online at www.unitedwaypc.net.

All Putnam County food pantries and coordinators of school-based weekend meal programs are encouraged to apply. For more information, call the United Way at 419-523-4505.
