Ottoville -- Harold B. Honigford, 79, of Ottoville died 6:05 p.m. Friday, Nov. 8, 2013 at St. Rita's Medical Center, Lima. He was born in Lima on March 6, 1934 to the late Clem and Bertha (Weber) Honigford. On January 18, 1958 he married Margie Pohlman, who survives in Ottoville.
Also surviving are his children: Duane (Lorie) Honigford, Allan (Angie) Honigford, and Mark (Shaunna) Honigford, all of Ottoville; 5 grandchildren: Amy, Tricia, Cory, Jenna and Melany; 2 step-grandchildren: Logan and Kalob; 2 brothers: Richard (Dolly) Honigford of Delphos and Paul (Mary) Honigford of Coldwater, OH; 3 sisters: Dorothy Fuerst, Marilyn (Dan) Walsh and Betty (Dan) Wannemacher, all of Lima.
He is preceded in death by 2 brothers: Jerry and Joseph Honigford.
Harold formerly worked as a supervisor at New Delphos Manufacturing, Delphos and had also worked at Eaton, Van Wert. In his retirement years he worked as a courier for the Union Bank. He was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Ottoville. He was a 1952 graduate of Ottoville High School, where he was an All Ohio Basketball player; He was a member of the US Army Reserves. Harold was a fan of the Ottoville Big Green, the Ohio State Buckeyes and the Cleveland Indians.
Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 12, 2013 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Ottoville with Father Jerome Schetter officiating. Burial will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery, Ottoville. Visitation will be Monday from 2 to 8 p.m. at LOVE-HEITMEYER FUNERAL HOME, Jackson Township, where a scripture service will be Monday at the funeral home.
