James Buddelmeyer - Putnam Sentinel

GLANDORF — James E. Buddelmeyer, 77, of Glandorf, died 10:09 p.m., Friday, December 22, 2017 at Bridge Hospice of Findlay. He was born March 25, 1940 in Greensburg Township to the late Alfred and Theresa (Stechschulte) Buddelmeyer. On November 26, 1960, he married Marvell Gerschutz and she survives in Glandorf.

Other survivors include six children: Sharon (Dean) Hermiller of Miller City, Debra (Dave) Selhorst of Glandorf, Steven (Lisa) Buddelmeyer of Ottawa, Randal Buddelmeyer of Ottawa, Gregory (Lindsey) Buddelmeyer of Findlay and Sandra (Terry) White of Glandorf; fifteen grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; seven siblings: Tom Buddelmeyer of Holgate, Norma Philips of Jacksonville, FL, Mary Jane Inkrott of Indianapolis, IN, Henry (Darlene) Buddelmeyer of Glandorf, Clete (June) Buddelmeyer of Fairborn, Rose Ann (Gene) Warnecke of Glandorf and Margie (Charles) Nienberg of Ottawa; and a brother-in-law, Norm Balbaugh of Miller City.

He was also preceded in death by a sister, JoAnn Balbaugh; and two brothers-in-law: Bill Philips and Steve Inkrott.

James retired from Glandorf Feed Company. He was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Glandorf and the Ottawa Eagles. He loved spending time with his grandchildren; especially teaching them how to operate the golf cart and watching their sporting events. James enjoyed mowing the lawn and watching his favorite TV show, Everybody Loves Raymond. He was also an avid Cleveland Indians and Browns fan.

A Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 10:30 a.m., Thursday, December 28, 2017 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Glandorf with Fr. Tony Fortman officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be from 6 - 8 p.m. Tuesday and 2 - 8 p.m. Wednesday at Love Funeral Home, Ottawa. A scripture service will begin at 1:45 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
