COLUMBUS GROVE - Joseph E. Morman, 66, died at 10:05 a.m. on Saturday, Dec. 15, 2012, at St. Rita's Medical Center, Lima.
He was born Feb. 20, 1946, in Columbus Grove, to the late Bernard and Mary (Schroeder) Morman. On Nov. 28, 1970, he married Alice M. Klausing and she survives.
Also surviving are two sons, Mike Morman of Columbus Grove, and Greg Morman of Toledo; two daughters, Jennifer (Shawn) Edson of Imlay City, Mich. and Beth Morman of Columbus Grove. six grandchildren, Emily Held, and Jacob, Ross, Zach, Sam and Paityn Edson; six bothers, William (Lucy) Morman, Robert (Judy) Morman, Edward (Jeanette) Morman, Ben Morman and Pat Morman, all of Columbus Grove, and Carl (Marilyn) Morman of Glandorf; and three sisters, Florence (Ben) Niese of Leipsic, Mary Morman of Columbus Grove and Julie (Steve) Rieman of Columbus Grove.
He was preceded in death by a sister, Norma Morman.
A graduate of Columbus Grove High School, class of 1964, Joe was a carpenter for 22 years, after which he worked with and retired from Putnam Acres Care Center, Ottawa, in maintenance. He was a lifelong member of St. Antony Catholic Church, Columbus Grove. He enjoyed farming and spending time with his grandchildren.
Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 19, at St. Anthony Catholic Church, Columbus Grove with Fr. Tom Extejt officiating. Burial will be in St. Anthony Cemetery, Columbus Grove.
Arrangements were handled by Hartman Sons Funeral Home, Columbus Grove.
