GLANDORF - Mary Jane Hunt, 65, of Glandorf died surrounded by her loving family at 4:10 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 11, 2012 at her residence.
She was born April 27, 1947 in Lima to Leo and Edna (Verhoff) Karhoff. Her father is deceased, her mother survives in Glandorf. On June 28, 1969 she married Daryl L. Hunt who died Dec. 8, 2003.Also surviving are three sons, David (Dora) Hunt of Glandorf, Jason (Dawn Ellerbrock) Hunt of Glandorf, and Brian (Kim) Hunt of Ottawa; four grandchildren, Leah and Lisa Hunt and Leeann and Benjamin Hunt; three sisters, Eileen (Mike) Roessner of Tiffin, Alice (Dale) Tobe of Glandorf, and Marilyn (Mark) Recker of Ft. Wayne, Ind.; a brother-in-law, Doug (Nancy) Schroeder of Kalida; and a sister-in-law, Rosella Karhoff of Glandorf.
She was also preceded in death by a brother, Harold Karhoff; a sister, Diane Schroeder; and her father and mother-in-law, Samuel and Lois Hunt.
Mary Jane was a homemaker and babysat for over 25 years. She had formerly worked at GTE Sylvania. She was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Glandorf and its Rosary Altar Society. Mary Jane loved being with her grandkids and enjoyed all the children she babysat for over the years.
A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 15, at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Glandorf with Fr. Tony Fortman officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery.
Arrangements were handled by Love Funeral Home, Ottawa.
