FINDLAY — Michael Thom, 38, of Findlay, died on Saturday, March 4, 2017. He was born on June 15, 1978, in Findlay.

Mike is survived by his mother, Diane (George) Martin of Findlay; his father, William (Christine Nellis) Thom of Findlay; his fiancé, Jennifer Craig of Findlay; his sons, Jamie (Breana McPherson) Shackelford of Findlay and Blaine Thom of Findlay; his daughters, Shelby Craig of Findlay and Addisyn Thom of Findlay; his sisters, Lisa (Regie) Hayes of Arlington, Christina (Terry Evans) Hoop of Dunkirk, twin sister, Michelle Knepper of Lima and Ann (Zachary) Brenneman of Findlay; his grandson, Easton; his brother-in-law, Alan Knepper of Arcadia; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles and step-siblings.

He was preceded in death by his daughter, Gracelynn Thom; maternal grandparents: Robert and Norma Apple; his paternal grandparents: Bill and Irene Thom.

Mike was a self employed painter and a member of the American Legion Post 3. He loved racing, snowmobiling, photography, cooking, camping, hanging out with the guys at the shop, as well as fishing and hunting with his brother-in-law. He was known to his family as a master barbequer but Mike’s greatest joy in life was spending time with his children and family.

A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m., Friday, March 10, at Coldren-Crates Funeral Home, Findlay. Burial will be in Maple Grove Cemetery, Findlay. Visitation will be held from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m., Thursday at Coldren-Crates Funeral Home.
