OCEANSIDE, Calif. - Thecla M. Miller, 95, died Dec. 31, 2012 at The Arbors in San Diego, Calif.
She was born Nov. 30, 1917 in Kalida to the late Andrew and Josephine (Griese) Wehri. On June 3, 1942 she married Hubert Kahle. He died March 14, 1945 in Cuba, Ohio. She then married Alphonse J. Miller on Aug. 1, 1951 and he died June 23, 2008.
Surviving are a son, Jerome (Cora) Kahle of Elk Grove, Calif., and two grandchildren, Christopher Kahle of Los Angeles, Calif. and Robin (Brooks) Davis of San Diego, Calif.; two great-grandchildren; and a brother-in-law, Alfred Miller of Cloverdale.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, Esther Kahle, who died in 1947; two brothers, Alphonse (Anna) Wehri and Norbert (Ima Jean) Wehri; three sisters, Magdalen (Joseph) Langhals, Clara (Virgil) Horstman and Anna (Eugene) Horstman; three brothers-in law, Aaron, Carolus and Amos Miller; and three sisters-in law, Sister Marguerite Miller C.PP.S, Irene Miller and Lillian Schnipke.
Services were held at 11 a.m. Jan. 22, at the Old Mission San Luis Rey, in Oceanside, Calif.
A Mass for Mrs. Miller will be celebrated at St. Michael Catholic Church, Kalida, on Thursday, Jan. 24, at 7:30 p.m.
