WEST LEIPSIC — Woodrow “Woody” Wesley Jones, 41, of West Leipsic, passed away peacefully on Thursday, June 19, 2014. He was born on November 8, 1972 in Lima to Ronald E. Sr. and Nona Eileen (Mullenhour) Jones. His father, Ronald, Sr. survives in Lima. On October 6, 2012, he married Katheleen (Entinghe) Jones who resides in West Leipsic.
He is also survived by his children: Nathaniel, Ethan, Abigail, Austin and Ashlee, and a grandson, Camden; his siblings: Charity (Conrad) Sandlin of Elida, Ohio, Rebekah (Steve) Shulaw, Joe (Mary) Jones, Tammy (Randy) Hern, Steve (Mary Lou) Jones, Ron, Jr. (Ardella) Jones and Deborah (Eugene) Thompson all of Lima. Numerous nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews also survive him. Preceded in death by his mother, Nona and a brother: Henry Michael “Mikey” Jones.
Woody was a Salesman with Tom Ahl Family of Dealerships. He attended the Leipsic Church of the Nazarene. He enjoyed fishing, golfing, was known to his friends as a comedian, he loved singing and was an avid fan of OSU sports.
Visitation will be Monday, June 23 from 2-4 p.m and 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home. Condolences can be left at www.siferd-oriansfuneralhome.com.
Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, June 24, 2014 at SIFERD-0RIANS FUNERAL HOME with Rev. Darrell Davidson, officiating. Burial will follow in Salem Mennonite Cemetery.
Donations in memory of Woody Jones can be made to Dr. Maryam Fouladi, The Cancer and Blood Diseases Institute, Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center 3333 Burnet Ave. Cincinnati, Ohio 45229. Dr. Fouladi is the head of the neuro-oncology program and she will direct all donations to High Risk Medulloblastoma studies in honor of Woody.
