LEIPSIC — Miller City used a four run fourth inning Monday to claim a 6-1 Putnam County League win from Leipsic.

With the win, the Wildcats finish second in the PCL at 6-1 and they are 7-8 overall.

Leipsic had a 1-0 lead, after scoring in the second inning, going to the fourth before the Wildcats pushed across four runs. Miller City added runs in the sixth and seventh innings.



Kylie Berner (6-7) picked up the win for Miller City as she allowed one run on nine hits with five strikeouts and three walks.

At the plate, Berner had a single and double with an RBI. Megan Niese, Allison Ruhe, Makenna Lehman, two RBIs, and Natalie Koenig all had two singles for the Wildcats.

Summer Steingass took the loss for Leipsic as she allowed six runs, five earned, on 12 hits.

Kelly Scheckelhoff had a single, double and RBI for the Vikings, while Kierra Meyer and Steingass both had a single and double. Stevie Brooks added a double to the Leipsic hit totals.
