Boys sectional tournament begins

The boys sectional basketball tournament started Tuesday night as three local teams took to the hardwood.
At Paulding, Kalida needed overtime to defeat Ayersville 50-47 in the Division IV sectional. The Wildcats outscored the Pilots 7-4 in overtime after outscoring the Pilots 15-10 in the fourth quarter to force overtime.
The Wildcats advance to face Edgerton in the sectional finals Friday night.
At Van Wert, Ottoville outscored Lima Perry in the second half to post a 41-35 win. The Big Green trailed 20-17 at the half before outscoring Perry 24-15 in the second half.
Ottoville will face Crestview in the sectional finals Friday night at Van Wert.
At Ottawa-Glandorf, Pandora-Gilboa gave McComb all they wanted before the Panthers pulled away for a 45-33 win.
McComb advances to face Columbus Grove in the sectional finals Friday night.
Four more tournament games are on the schedule for tonight as Leipsic faces North Baltimore at Ottawa-Glandorf, Fort Jennings and Delphos St. John's square off at Van Wert, while Continental faces Holgate and Miller City takes on Antwerp in the Division IV sectional at Paulding. Tonights winners advance to the sectional finals on Friday night.
