BLUFFTON — Columbus Grove scored four late runs Thursday to defeat Bluffton 8-4 in Northwest Conference softball action.
With the game tied 4-4 going to the sixth inning, the Bulldogs scored twice in that inning to take the lead, then added two insurance runs in the seventh inning.
Columbus Grove had a 4-1 lead in the game before the Pirates rallied with single runs in the third, fourth and fifth innings.
Teyah Sautter picked up the win for Columbus Grove as she allowed four runs, three earned, on seven hits with eight strikeouts and three walks.
Sautter helped the Bulldog offense with two singles and three runs batted in. Grace Schroeder had a single and double with an RBI and Jenny Ellerbrock had a single and RBI.
