Continental defeats Fort Jennings in PCL

CONTINENTAL - Continental used a fourth quarter scoring advantage Friday night to post a 50-44 Putnam County League win over Fort Jennings Friday night.
The Pirates had a 30-29 lead after the third quarter before using a 20-15 scoring advantage in the final quarter for the win. Continental was up 17-15 at halftime before the Musketeers outscored them 14-13 in the third quarter to keep things close.
Wade Stauffer had 18 points to lead the Pirates (4-11). Jacob Williams had seven points and 11 rebounds. Derek Troyer and Austin Mansfield both had seven points in the win.
Nick Von Sossan had 11 points to lead the Musketeers and Josh Wittler had 10 points.
Fort Jennings won the junior varsity game 8-32.
Miller City 39
OTTOVILLE - Ottoville outscored Miller City in every quarter Friday night as the Big Green claimed a 49-39 Putnam County League win.
The Big Green were up 11-7 after the opening quarter and 24-18 at halftime. Ottoville had a 32-23 lead after three quarters of action.
Tyler Roby led the Big Green with 18 points and Brandt Landin had 14 points and eight rebounds.
Adam Niese led the Wildcats with 15 points and Cory Heuerman finished with nine points. Adam Drummelsmith had nine rebounds for Miller City
Miller City won the junior varsity game 27-15.
Columbus Grove 58
PAULDING - Columbus Grove rallied for a 58-55 Northwest Conference win over Paulding Friday night in overtime.
The Bulldogs rallied in the fourth quarter to tie the game at 47-47 and force overtime.
Van Buren 54
LEIPSIC - Van Buren was strong in the middle two quarters Friday evening as the Black Knights posted a 54-42 Blanchard Valley Conference win.
The Vikings had a 12-8 lead after one quarter before the Black Knights turned the game around with a 16-5 second quarter scoring run. A 12-8 run by Van Buren in the third quarter gave them a 37-25 lead. Both teams scored 17 points in the fourth quarter.
Braxton Fasone had 14 points and five rebounds for Van Buren. Mac Williams finished with 10 points.
Jordan Brown had a double-double for Leipsic with 20 points and 11 rebounds.
Van Buren won the junior varsity game 57-42.
Delphos Jefferson 51
DELPHOS - Delphos Jefferson used a scoring advantage in the second quarter to defeat Kalida 51-50 in non-league action.
Kalida had a 12-10 lead after the opening quarter before Jefferson outscored them 19-13 in the second quarter for a 29-25 halftime lead. Kalida outscored Jefferson in the fourth quarter 14-11 to fall one point short of a comeback win.
Ross Thompson had 11 points for Jefferson and Jace Stockwell had 10 points.
Devin Kortokrax had 19 points for Kalida and Randy Zeller had 11 points.
Kalida won the junior varsity game 68-43.
RAWSON - Pandora-Gilboa pulled out a 32-30 Blanchard Valley Conference win from Cory-Rawson Friday night.
The game was tied 30-30 late in the game before hitting the game winning shot.
