OTTAWA - The American Legion District 1 legion baseball tournaments gets underway Wednesday at four different sites around Northwest Ohio.

Ottawa's American Legion baseball team starts play in the eight team tournament Wednesday as they host defending District 1 champion Whitehouse at 6 p.m. at Memorial Field.
Other first round games Wednesday has Toledo playing Maumee at Mercy Field in Toledo, while Findlay hosts Napoleon in Findlay. Port Clinton and Pemberville play at Freedom Park in Pemberville. All these games start at 7 p.m.
All eight teams will be back in action Thursday night. Should Ottawa win their opening round game they would travel to Mercy Field in Toledo to face the Port Clinton-Pemberville winner at 7 p.m. A loss would send Post 63 to Pemberville to face the Port Clinton-Pemberville loser.
This is a double elimination tournament with the championship games to be played Sunday at Flag City Field in Findlay.
