It was a busy night on area basketball courts Friday night as there were seven games on the local schedule, including one girls contest.
The lone girls contest had Miller City and Continental squaring off in Putnam County League action at the Pirates Cove. The Lady Pirates continued to play well as they downed the Wildcats 56-41. Continental has reeled off nine straight wins since a season opening loss.
In boys league action Friday night, Ottawa-Glandorf hosted Shawnee and posted a 72-51 win. O-G is 2-0 in the WBL and 7-1 overall as Michael Rosebrock had a double-double with 17 points and 14 rebounds.
Leipsic had 13 different players score points Friday night as they downed Arcadia 92-40 in Blanchard Valley Conference action. Zach Kuhlman had 21 points for the Vikings (2-0, 7-1).
Columbus Grove travelled to Lincolnview and came away with a 59-49 Northwest Conference win. The Bulldogs are 1-1 in the NWC.
Arlington hosted Pandora-Gilboa Friday night and came away with a 41-22 Blanchard Valley Conference win. The Red Devils are undefeated on the season.
Miller City had a makeup game with Patrick Henry and came home happy with a 59-48 win in non-league action. Austin Lammers had 18 points for the Wildcats (6-3) and Ross Kaufman had 17 points.
Ottoville was on the road to Convoy Crestview and had a long trip home as they fell 50-37 in non-league action. Ryan Honigford had 14 points for the Big Green in the loss.
