FORT JENNINGS — Fort Jennings soccer standout, Seth Ricker, has verbally committed to attend Ohio Northern University to further his education and play soccer.
Ricker, a senior, was Pitnam County League Player of the Year this past season and a District first team selection for the past two seasons. Ricker scored six goals, had two assists while garnering 112 takeaways.
Ricker is Co-Captain for the Pacesetter Premier U18 team located in Toledo.  He helped lead his club team to a Regional Semi Final appearance in Des Moines, Iowa, in 2013.

“I chose Ohio Northern University over other universities because of their strong academic performance and successful men’s soccer program.  Coach Ridenour is willing to work with the demands of my engineering program.”

Besides playing soccer, Ricker is also very involved in his school and community.  Seth is active in National Honor Society, Student Council, 4-H, band, TSA TEAMs, Scholastic Bowl, and St. Joseph Parish.

“ONU was in the National Championship game in 2012 and have been OAC Champions for the past five years.  I want the opportunity to play for a National Championship and feel ONU has the talent to repeat their championship run again.”

Seth is the son of Kevin and Brenda Ricker and the brother of Troy Ricker.
