GLANDORF — Grant Fuerst's one out single in the eighth inning scored Evan Balash with the winning run as Ottawa-Glandorf defeated Bath 4-3 in Western Buckeye league action.

Both teams put up three spots early in the game before pitchers Hunter Liames, Bath, and Chase Schriber, O-G, took over the game not allowing another run until the bottom of the eighth.

With one out in the bottom of the eighth Balash walked and Owen Hiegel moved him to third base with a single. Fuerst then lined a single to center to give the Titans the hard-fought win.

Bath had scored three times in the first inning and the Titans tied the game in their half of the second inning.

Schrieber picked up the win for O-G (2-1, 7-2) as he allowed three runs on eight hits with six strikeouts and two walks.

Ethan White had a triple and RBI in the game for O-G and Logan Miller had a double and RBI. Mike Bowers had a single and RBI in the contest.

Liames took the loss as he went 7 1/3 innings allowing four runs, three earned, on five hits with four strikeouts and a walk.

Isaiah Bolon had two hits and an RBI, while Chad Frey and Will Clark both had a double and RBI. Liames had two singles in the game and Lex Boedicker had a double.

Montpelier 1

MILLER CITY — Chase Kuhlman was stellar on the mound for Miller City Friday as the Wildcats defeated Montpelier 4-1 in non-league action.

Kuhlman (2-0) picked up the win as he went 6 2/3 innings allowing one run on two hits with nine strikeouts and five walks.

The Wildcats took the lead with two runs in the second inning, then added solo runs in the fourth and fifth innings. The Locomotives scored their run in the fourth inning.

Kuhlman had a double for the Wildcats in the game.

Tanner Sanders had a double for the Locomotives.
