Grove's Grothaus selected for North-South game

COLUMBUS GROVE - Columbus Grove's Collin Grothaus has been selected to play in the Ohio North-South All-Star football game to be held on April 27th, at Dayton's Welcome Stadium.This past season, Grothaus played quarterback and defensive back for the Bulldogs. As a quarterback Grothaus was 78-of-155 passing for 1,190 yards with 11 touchdowns and he ran the ball 149 times for 598 yards and nine touchdowns. As a defensive back, Grothaus finished the season with 52 tackles, 32 solo, with three interceptions and 13 passes defended. He was a first team selection on defense this season in the NWC.
Grothaus is a two-time All NWC first team selection, a second team All-district selection and Honorable Mention All-State player. Grothaus is the first player from Columbus Grove to be selected for this prestigious honor.
Every super bowl ever played has had at least one player from this game so it is definitely a showcase of the top talent in the state of Ohio. Only the best players are selected for this game and it is not separated by divisions. All divisions will play together in this game.
