COLUMBUS GROVE — Columbus Grove grabbed a quick lead Thursday afternoon to defeat Ottoville 17-0 in a Division IV tournament game.

The Bulldogs advance to the district semi-finals Tuesday at Elida to face Lincolnview at 4:30 p.m.

Columbus Grove came out swinging Thursday as they scored five times in the first inning before scoring 10 times in the second inning.

Teyah Sautter (15-3) picked up the win for the Bulldogs as she didn't allow a run on three hits with seven strikeouts.

At the plate, Sautter was 4 for 4 with a double and Tori Warnecke was 3 for 3 with a double. Emily Watt was 2 for 2 with a double.

Alli Honigford took the loss for the Big Green.

Paige Hoersten had a single for Ottoville.

Lincolnview 2

Leipsic 0

MIDDLE POINT — Lincolnview scored a pair of second inning runs Thursday to defeat Leipsic 2-0 in a Division IV tournament game.

The second inning runs were the only scores of the day in this pitchers duel.

Amy Beair toosed a five hit shutout for the Lancers with five strikeouts.

Annie Mendenhall had a double and both RBIs for the Lancers, while Destiny Coil had a triple.

Summer Steingass took the loss for the Vikings as she allowed two runs, one earned, on five hits with three strikeouts.

Stevie Brooks had a double for the Vikings.

Wayne Trace 22

Miller City 1

HAVILAND — Wayne Trace used a big first inning to defeat Miller City 22-1 in a Division IV tournament game Thursday evening.

The Raiders sent 16 batters to the plate in the first inning as they scored 11 times. Alex Fast had a grand slam in the opening inning for the Raiders and Anne Eklund added a two run shot.

Miller City scored its lone run in the third inning.

Maggie Crosby was the winning pitcher for the Raiders as she allowed one run on four hits with five strikeouts.

Fast finished with a double and home run for Wayne Trace, while Eklung had a single, home run and four RBIs. Olivia Egnor added two singles, a double and three RBIs and Crosby had two singles, a double and RBI. Ten players had hits for the Raiders in the game.

Kylie Berner took the loss for Miller City as she went 3 1/3 innings.

Abbey Schroeder had an RBI single for the Wildcats and Molly Ellerbrock added a double.

Ada 13

Contnental 4

ADA — Ada overcame an early deficit Thursday to defeat Continental 13-4 in a six inning Division IV tournament game.

After the Pirates scored in the top of the first, the Bulldogs responded with seven runs in the bottom of the inning to take the lead for good. Ada ended the game in the sixth as they scored four times.

Leona Dalton picked up the win for Ada as she went five innings.

Kaiti Newland had a home run, two singles and five RBIs for the Bulldogs and Syd Newland had two singles and two RBIs.

Amber Logan took the loss for the Pirates.

Logan had a home run in the game, while Caitlyn Etter and Kennedy Hiltner both had a double.
