CONTINENTAL - Kalida and Miller City pitched shutouts Saturday afternoon to advance to Division III district soccer action Tuesday night.

Kalida will face New Knoxville at 5 p.m. Saturday, while Miller City will face Lima Cenral Catholic in the second game Tuesday night at 7 p.m.
Kalida got a first half goal from Austin Swift in beating the Pirates 1-0. Brent Hovest had nine saves for the Wildcats in the win, while Austin Mansfield had three saves for the Pirates. Continental had a 9-4 edge in shots on goal for the match.
In the second match, Miller City used two second half goals by Jared Snyder to advance.
The Wildcats had a 1-0 halftime lead as Jackson Lammers scored a goal five minutes into the contest. Snyder sealed the win with two late second half goals.
Both teams took seven shots in the game as Hunter Berner had seven saves for the Wildcats. Wes Markward had four saves for the Big Green.
