COLUMBUS GROVE - Kalida used a first half scoring advantage Tuesday evening to defeat Columbus Grove 46-37 in Putnam County League action.

The Ladycats had a 14-9 lead after eight minutes and were up 29-18 at halftime. The Bulldogs cut into that lead with a 13-8 scoring advantage before Kalida finished the game with a 9-6 fourth quarter scoring edge.

Sarah Klausing paced the Ladycats with 23 points and eight rebounds and Kara Siefker had eight points.

Carlee McCluer had 12 points and five rebounds for Columbus Grove. Abby Gladwell added seven points.

Columbus Grove won the junior varsity game 18-16.

Leipsic 58

Miller City 28

MILLER CITY - Leipsic held Miller City to a combined seven points in the first and third quarters on their way to a 58-28 Putnam County League win.

The Vikings had a 10-3 lead after the first quarter, then outscored the Wildcats 19-4 in the third quarter to break the game open.

Claire Rigel paced the Vikings with 19 points and seven rebounds. Kierra Meyer added 13 points and Heather Lammers had 12 points, seven rebounds and three blocked shots. Carlee Siefker came up with six steals in the win.

Adrienne Kuhlman had seven points and five rebounds for Miller City (3-6) and Natalie Koenig had six points and five rebounds. Allison Ruhe had six points in the game.

Leipsic won the junior varsity game 19-18.

Archbold 80

Continental 30

CONTINENTAL - Archbold had a comfortable lead after the opening quarter on their way to a 80-30 non-league win over Continental.

The Blue Streaks were up 27-0 after one quarter before they scored another 27 points in the second quarter to the Pirates eight.

Amber Logan had 11 points to lead the Pirates.

Archbold won the junior varsity contest 41-22.
