Kalida defeats Leipsic in PCL girls action

LEIPSIC - Kalida picked up a Putnam County League girls basketball win Saturday afternoon as the Wildcats topped Leipsic 44-37.The Wildcats (4-2, 12-7) grabbed a 12-11 first quarter lead and were up 22-19 at halftime before posting a 22-18 second half scoring margin.
Jackie Gardner led the Wildcats with 13 points and Summer Holtkamp finished with 10 points.
Amber Gerdeman led the Vikings (4-3, 13-6) with a game high 16 points.
Patrick Henry 40
CONTINENTAL - State ranked Patrick Henry used a fourth quarter rally to defeat Continental Saturday afternoon 40-37 in non-league action.
The Pirates (14-6) were up 26-20 after three quarters on fourth ranked Patrick Henry (Division IV) before the Patriots rallied with a 20-11 scoring edge.
Bostelman had 16 points to lead Patrick Henry.
Taylor Williamson had 15 points for the Pirates and Vanessa Koppenhofer had 11 points as just four Pirates scored in the game.
Columbus Grove 38
COLUMBUS GROVE - Arlington needed a fourth quarter comeback Saturday afternoon to defeat Columbus Grove 44-38 in non-league action.
The Bulldogs (5-15) had a 32-24 lead going to the fourth quarter after outscoring the Red Devils 7-2 in the third quarter. A 20-6 run by Arlington in the fourth quarter gave them the win.
Dani Heaster had 15 points for the Red Devils and Jordan Webb had 12 points.
Sydney McCluer led the Bulldogs with nine points and Sammi Stechschulte finished with eight points.
Miller City 26
MILLER CITY - Miller City posted a shutout in the second quarter Saturday afternoon, but that wasn't enough to help them defeat Bluffton as the Pirates posted a 36-26 non-league win.
Bluffton (10-10) had a 17-4 lead after the first quarter before Miller City held them scoreless in the second quarter 8-0 to trail by five points at halftime (17-12). A 14-5 run by the Pirates in the third quarter expanded the Bluffton lead.
Anna Crisp had 12 points for the Pirates and Sarah Schriner finished with 10.
Melissa Michel had 14 points, 10 rebounds and four steals for the Wildcats (4-17).
St. John's 18
DELPHOS - Top ranked Otoville remained undefeated Saturday night with a 42-18 non-league win over Delphos St. John's
The number ranked one Big Green (Division IV) moved to 20-0 on the season and close out the regular season Thursday night as they host McComb.
