OTTAWA - Ottawa-Glandorf banged out 11 hits Tuesday afternoon on their way to a 10-0, six inning, Western Buckeye League win over Defiance at Ottawa Memorial Park.

O-G moved to 1-0 in the league and 6-0 overall.

The Titans scored two runs in the opening inning as Molly Closson reached on a wild pitch after striking out and Stephanie Hempfling put runners at second and third with a double down the left field line. Michelle Sdao plated a run with a suicide squeeze bunt and Tasha Cass mad it 2-0 with a double to right-center field.

O-G added single runs in the second and third innings before breaking the game open with four runs in the fifth inning. Two runs in the inning scored on errors before Katelyn Kaufman blasted a two run home run over the right centerfield fence.

The Titans ended the game in the sixth inning as a bases loaded, one out, double by Lindsey Prichard pushed across the game ending runs.

Megan Kitchen (5-0) picked up the win for O-G as she went the distance allowing no runs on four hits with five strikeouts and two walks.

Kaufman had a single to go with her home run, while Cass had two singles and a double. Prichard had a double and single for O-G.

C. Manon took the loss for Defiance as she went the distance. B. Riehle had two singles for the Bulldogs.

HAMLER - Patrick Henry grabbed a quick lead and held off a late charge by Columbus Grove to claim a rain-shortened 10-5 non-league win.

The Patriots scored three times in the first and twice in the second inning before adding five runs in the fourth inning. Columbus Grove made things interesting with four runs in the fourth and one in the fifth.

Bobbi Heckel took the loss for the Bulldogs (6-2) and Hope Schroeder worked in relief.

Micah Stechschulte had a double for the Bulldogs and Monica Delgado had a pair of singles and two RBI.

Kristin Bostelman had a triple and single for Patrick Henry (8-3). Kayla Fintel added two singles and an RBI.

Miller City 1

MCCOMB - Miller City and McComb did all their scoring in the sixth inning of their non-league game Tuesday afternoon.

While the Wildcats broke the scoreless tie with a run, the Panthers came back with three runs in the bottom of the inning for a 3-1 non-league win.

Kristen Buck was the winning pitcher for the Panthers as she allowed one run on one hit with 12 strikeouts and no walks.

J. Lanning had two singles and two RBI for the Panthers (10-6), while Hanna Bundy and H. Cortez both had a double.

Liz Schimmoeller 91-3) took the loss for Miller City (1-5). Jessica Vennekotter had a single for the Wildcats.
