BLUFFTON — Leipsic held Bluffton to two points in the opening quarter Monday night on their way to a 47-38 non-league win.

The Vikings grabbed control of this game early as they outscored the Pirates 13-2. Bluffton fought back coming within 34-29 after three quarters as they outscored Leipsic 27-21 in the middle two quarters. A 13-9 run by the Pirates in the second quarter helped their comeback efforts.

Leipsic regrouped in the fourth quarter to outscore the Pirates 13-9 for the win. The Vikings were 9-of-14 at the line in the fourth quarter as Haley Gerten sank 6-of-8 chances at the charity stripe.

Shaylynn Morman led the Vikings (16-3) with 14 points and Kelly Nadler added 13 points. Gerten finished with 10 points.

Sarah Schriner and Paige Buroker both had nine points for the Pirates (10-7).

OTTOVILLE — Ottoville used a strong third quarter Monday evening on their way to a 42-34 non-league win over Ada.

The Big Green had a 14-7 lead after the opening quarter, then saw the Bulldogs creep back into the contest with a 12-6 second quarter scoring advantage to trail 20-19 at halftime. The Big Green came out of the lockerroom and outscored Ada 10-3 to regain control of the game. Taylor Mangas had seven points for Ottoville in the third quarter and Annie Lindeman chipped in a three as the Big Green had a 30-22 lead going to the fourth quarter.

Lindeman led the Big Green (9-8) with 13 points and Taylor Mangas finished with 12. Brooke Mangas chipped in nine points as she was 4-of-6 at the free throw line in the fourth quarter.

Tori Wyss led the Bulldogs (7-10) with 11 points and Alexis Amburgey had 10 points.

The Rockets opened the game with a 10-8 scoring advantage, then finished the game with a 17-13 scoring run. Both teams scored 18 points in the middle two quarters.

Megan Maag led the Rockets (3-3, 10-8) with 20 points and Olivia Maag added 11 points.

Paige Ordway led the Pirates (3-3, 9-8) with a game high 21 points.

DOLA — Leipsic grabbed a double digit halftime lead Monday night on their way to a 77-46 Blanchard Valley Conference win over Hardin Northern in a makeup game.

The Vikings had a 45-26 lead at halftime, then completed the win with a 32-20 second half scoring margin.

Zach Kuhlman had a big night for the Vikings as he scored 26 points along with three assists. Jordan Brown added 13 points and grabbed seven rebounds. Matt Schroeder finished with 12 points for Leipsic.

Oscar Lopez had eight rebounds for Leipsic and Gavin Cupp seven boards as Leipsic outrebounded the Polar Bears 37-14.

Jacob Gossard had 17 points to lead the Polar Bears and Rylie Drumm added 14 points. Kyle Lamb had 11 points for Hardin Northern.
