LEIPSIC - Leipsic held off a stubborn Ottoville squad Saturday night 55-52 to claim a share of the Putnam County League boys basketball title.

The win gives the Vikings a 6-0 league record and they are 17-4 overall. The Vikings can win an outright PCL title next Friday with a win over Fort Jennings. Columbus Grove sits a half game back of the Vikings in the league standings at 6-1.
Leipsic jumped out to a 12-10 first quarter lead and were up 28-23 at halftime. Ottoville pulled within 42-38 after three quarters before trimming one more point of the Viking lead in the fourth quarter.
Austin Brown led the Vikings with 22 points and Devin Mangas added 14 points and grabbed seven rebounds.
Ryan Honigford led the Big Green with 13 points and Luke Schimmoeller finished with 12 points. Derek Schimmoeller added 11 points.

Miller City 56
COLUMBUS GROVE - Columbus Grove used a big third quarter Saturday night to defeat Miller City 67-56 in Putnam County League action.
The win allows the Bulldogs to finish 6-1 in the PCL and they are 14-7 overall. Miller City is 4-3 in the league and 15-6 overall.
The Wildcats had a 29-26 halftime lead on the Bulldogs before Columbus Grove turned the tide in the third quarter with a 21-8 scoring run.
Derek Rieman had a double-double for the Bulldogs with 14 points and 10 rebounds. Collin Grothaus added 13 points, while Will Vorhees had 12 points and six rebounds. Jace Darbyshire had 11 points and seven assists.
Russell Niese led Miller City with 17 points and Ross Kaufman added 14 points.

Kalida 63
Van Buren 54
KALIDA - Cody Mathew had a big night for Kalida as the Wildcats rolled to a 63-54 non-league win over Van Buren.
Mathew erupted for 29 points in the Wildcats win which included six three-pointers. Devin Kortokrax added 17 points to the Kalida win.
Kalida had an 18-10 lead after one quarter and were up 36-21 at halftime.
Ryan Adolph and Mac Williams paced the Black Knights with 13 points each.
