LEIPSIC - Leipsic found the endzone early and often in the first half Friday night as the Vikings rolled past Cory-Rawson 48-12 in a Blanchard Valley Conference contest.
The win keeps Leipsic unbeaten on the season as the fourth ranked team in Division VI moved to 7-0 in the BVC and 8-0 overall.
Leipsic built an early lead Friday night as they scored on their first three possessions. Jordan Chamberlin opened the scoring with a six yard scoring run before Zach Kuhlman and Devin Mangas hooked up on scoring passes of 41 and 19 yards. Derek Steffan caught a 36 yard scoring pass later in the second quarter before Kuhlman and Mangas hooked up on a 65 yard scoring pass as Leipsic was up 35-0 at the half. The Vikings had a Chamberlin touchdown run called back right before the half.
Both teams scored two touchdowns in the second half for the final score. The Vikings have a big contest in front of them next week as they hook up with once beaten Liberty-Benton on the Eagles home turf.
Ottawa-Glandorf remained undefeated on the season Friday night as the Titans rolled past winless St. Marys 62-0. The second ranked Titans, Division IV, moved to 7-0 in the Western Buckeye League and 8-0 overall. The win gives O-G at-least a share of the WBL title as Celina fell to Kenton giving every team in the league two losses except the Titans.
In Northwest Conference action Friday night, Dakota Vogt scored three times as Columbus Grove rolled by Paulding 57-18 at Clymer Stadium. Vogt scored on runs of 42 and five yards and caught a 32 yard scoring pass. The Bulldogs are 5-3 overall and 3-3 in the conference.
Pandora-Gilboa had a three game winning streak snapped Friday night as they fell to Liberty-Benton 49-0. The Rockets are now 4-4 on the season.
