LEIPSIC - Leipsic jumped out to a quick lead Tuesday night as the Vikings beat Fort Jennings 56-27 in Putnam County League girls action.
The Vikings grabbed a 15-2 first quarter lead and continued to build on it. Leipsic added to its lead with a 16-7 run in the second quarter and continued to pull away with a 18-9 run in the third quarter.
Shalynn Morman led the Vikings (1-1, 3-2) with 12 points, while Kelly Nadler had 11 points and Amber Gerdeman had 10 points.
Ashley Gable led the Musketeers (0-1, 3-3) with 11 points.
Leipsic won the junior varsity game 36-29.

CONTINENTAL - Continental jumped out to an early lead Tuesday night as the Pirates downed Fairview 68-40 in non-league action.
The Pirates (4-1) grabbed a 22-8 first quarter lead and pushed that to 38-16 at the half with a 16-8 second quarter scoring margin.
Leva Weller had a big night for the Pirates with 25 points and 10 rebounds. Taylor Williamson and Paige Ordway both added nine points to the Pirate win.
Continental won the junior varsity game 49-29.
